The initiative, which is part of the programme commemorating the 25th anniversary of the city’s inclusion on UNESCO’s World Heritage List, is conceived as a contemporary reinterpretation of the historic cultural emergence of ‘Pibes ’85’.
Throughout the morning, the activity took place in the most emblematic streets and monuments of the historic centre, linking towers, balconies and bell towers through sound.
This exhibition is complemented by the heritage routes “Quintana in La Laguna. The painter in the city 300 years later”, organised by the Department of Cultural Heritage of La Laguna together with Localiando.
The event, which is held simultaneously in September in the Group’s 15 cities, is expanding in response to the high demand generated by this event year after year.
The parade will depart at 5:30 p.m. from Doctor Olivera Square and proceed through the main streets of the town centre.
This recognition is of particular importance for La Laguna, a city that was founded without walls and has historically been identified as a place of peace and dialogue between continents.
The initiative links the anniversary of the UNESCO declaration with the municipal commitment to combat gender violence and accompanies the municipal programme for 25th of November.
La Laguna will be present at this event, which takes place in the city of Jaén and is organised by the International Federation of CICOP Centres and the CICOP Spain Association.
Between 24 October and 8 November, a varied cultural, gastronomic and leisure programme will be rolled out at different locations throughout the city.
